Social Emotional Student Leadership Workshop
Asset Building Activities
Collaboration + Deeper Bonds
In this 2 hour asset building workshop, we coach 30 students on using interactive Social Emotional Learning activities to effectively lead their clubs/groups in inclusive ways that help retain members and develop their leadership skills as well.
To do so, participants are provided with opportunities to lead a series of experiential activities that cultivate competencies vital to collaboration, compassion and creative problem-solving. This process allows a student to strengthen his or her individual leadership skills while forming deeper bonds with their peers.
Our Student SEL Leadership Workshop is similar to our Educator SEL Leadership Workshop in that it helps participants develop parallel Social Emotional Learning skills. However, the reflection activities are geared more to student issues and stages of development.
Results of Students Surveyed:
Agree our workshop activities provided opportunities to increase their leadership skills.
Are more likely to collaborate with their peers and teachers.
Are more likely to empower others by supporting their ideas.
Believe other students can significantly benefit from participating in our workshop.
